Alcohol Puro Calculator

This calculator demonstrates that beer is the cheapest form of alcohol sold on the market. Beer gives you the best (amount of alcohol) value for your money! Somehow people know this intuitively, by trial and error: That beer gives them the cheapest alcohol kick! Maybe some people prefer that I say, that this main flavor component, should be enjoyed in a modest way, because I do not want to promote alcoholism, or any other kind of alcohol abuse for that matter by this site and service. It is purely meant for fun, popular science or marketing of products. Anyway here you can check the rational reason of the popularity of beer. It is the world's oldest and most consumed alcoholic beverage, and it comes third as the most popular drink after water and tea by the way.

ALCOHOL PURO CALCULATOR
(* = required field)
Alcohol vol% *:
Volume (liter) *:
Price per volume (€ or $ or any kind of currency) *:
My popular drink name:

Price of 1 liter pure alcohol equivalent (same currency):

NB: 1 metric liter = 33.8140 US Fluid Ounces. Due to volume contraction of alcohol/water mixtures and the difference in denstities 13 vol% Red Wine = 13 v/v% = 13 volume parts alcohol in 100 volume parts wine = 10.6 grams alcohol in 100 grams wine. Approximately: 10 ml wine = 10 CC = 10 grams. So density is about 1 grams / ml. The calculator makes these corrections.

The situation in Holland

The table below shows some calculations, with this "Alcohol Puro Calculator", on alcoholic beverage prices of Dutch supermarkets and liquor stores. These are among the most cheapest prices of still reasonable and drinkable beverages.
